Both Alex Fletcher and Mars Poxon from BonLab were awarded a Surfex Bursary by OCCA, the Oil & Colour Chemists’ Association. Mars is a 2nd year PhD researcher and works on the synthesis and environmental fate characterization of. degradable polymer dispersions, a project sponsored by the Natural Environment Research Council. Both will be presenting their work at the 2025 conference of the International Polymer Colloids Group, in Sète, France, from 20 June to 27 June.
Prof. dr. ir. Stefan Bon said: “It is fantastic to see the hard work of Alex and Mars recognised. As a mentor and coach I am extremely proud of what they have achieved.”
Emily Brogden wins best poster at MacroGroup UK 2023
Emily Brogden from BonLab wins best poster at the MacroGroup UK annual conference 2023 in Loughborough for her work on the design and fabrication of a linerless pressure sensitive adhesive.
Emily Brodgen from BonLab receiver her best poster price award from the chair of MacroGroup UK prof. Remzi Becer.
Prof. dr. ir. Stefan Bon says: “Fantastic to see that Emily’s work gets the recognition it deserves. Her research delivers on innovation in the area of waterborne pressure sensitive adhesives. The basis for this work was carried out in collaboration with an industrial partner and has led to the filing of a patent on which Emily is co-inventor.”
Emily Brogden wins best graduate research seminar talk at IPCG 2023
Emily Brodgen has been awarded “best talk” at the Graduate Research Seminar (GRS) of the International Polymer Colloids Group (IPCG) conference held at Queen’s University in Kingston, Ontario, Canada.
Emily Brodgen has been awarded “best talk” at the Graduate Research Seminar (GRS) of the International Polymer Colloids Group (IPCG) conference held at Queen’s University in Kingston, Ontario, Canada.
Emily said: “I really enjoyed the GRS preceeding the IPCG2023 meeting. It was great meeting all the participants and hearing their interesting research.”
Emily was given the opportunity to present her work at the main IPCG conference where she talked about hard-soft polymer colloid mixtures for waterborne linerless pressure sensitive adhesives.
Prof. dr. ir. Stefan Bon said: “ I am tremendously proud of Emily and I am delighted that her talents, commitment, and hard work have been recognised and awarded by the world top in our field of polymer colloids. It is a fantastic boost for the entire team at BonLab.”
We would like to thank the Oil & Colour Chemists’ Association (OCCA) for sponsoring Emily’s trip by awarding her a Surfex travel bursary.
