Join us as a PhD student to unravel the mechanisms of sustainable polymerization reactions

We are now looking for a PhD researcher to join us in the Autumn of 2023 and develop together with an industrial partner and us an exciting 4-years joint research program in the area of environmentally sustainable polymers.

This specific PhD project will provide a synergistic step-change in the development and understanding of the polymerization mechanisms and kinetics of sustainable green monomers, which can be polymerised by condensation type of reactions. Unraveling the chemical reactions and associated kinetics will allow us to predict the molar mass and chemical composition distributions. This understanding will then be applied to add complexity to polymer chain architecture. The physical and mechanical characteristics of formulations and products made using these sustainable polymers will also be investigated.

Please contact prof. dr. ir. Stefan Bon directly if you are interested by email (s.bon@warwick.ac.uk), with your CV, academic transcript and motivation letter.

This studentship covers a 4 year stipend and payment of home fees. International students can apply but have to have financial means to cover the difference in fees.
