BonLab part of Warwick Sutton Scholars programme launch event

  • Warwick Business School Coventry, CV4 7AL United Kingdom (map)

The Warwick Sutton Scholars program is a two year programme for highly able Year 8 and 9 students who come from backgrounds that are under-represented in higher education. The programme is open to schools from across the West Midlands. The programme is designed to stretch and challenge students academically and inspire them to consider university in the future.

The programme is managed by Maria Kehr from the Widening Participation and Outreach Team at the University of Warwick in partnership with the Sutton Trust.

Prof.dr.ir. Stefan Bon says: “When Maria contacted us at BonLab, we immediately said yes to participating at the January 2019 launch event. The Sutton Trust has the noble cause of improving social mobility in the UK through evidence-based programmes, research and policy advocacy. To break the link between educational opportunities and family background, so that young people are given the chance to fulfil their potential, regardless of their family background, school or where they live, is admirable. We are looking forward to inspire and mesmerise a talented audience with science. “
